COOPERATION
NAASCO (Naples Addis Ababa Agreement on Scientific Cooperation) is an agreement between the University of Naples Federico II (UNINA) and the University of Addis Ababa (AAU).
The priority field of interest is intended to be Mathematics and its applications, although all the other disciplinary fields represented in both the institutions can be considered.
The main aim of NAASCO is promoting academic exchange and training between the two universities with the purpose of sharing knowledge and work to improve their potential of research activities. Furthermore, the two universities cooperate to build the capacity of the AAU in handling its PhD programs and to build research and teaching capacities of AAU in missing fields.
NAASCO was signed in 2016 by the president of AAU, Prof. Admassu Tesegaye, and the Rector of UNINA, Prof. Gaetano Manfredi.
NAASCO has been renewed in 2021 as an agreement between the Department of Mathematics of AAU and the Department of Mathematics of UNINA.
